We are giving parents the opportunity to make a donation to our Project Romania.
Some of you may be aware of our visits to Romania in the past. From 1999 to 2009 we regularly took groups of our older students to Mangalia, a small seaside town on the shores of the Black Sea. We worked with a small church and a health foundation.
We have not been to Mangalia for the past eight years for various reasons. However, we are reconnecting with our contacts through Mrs Scott. Mangalia is her home town. A team of 12 students, myself (Mr Moon) and Mr and Mrs Scott will be working with a different local church from Wednesday 12th – Sunday 23rd July.
If you would like to support this project we are giving you the opportunity to invest financially into the project. On Monday 20th, Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th June we are selling buns to raise monies for the project. We will also collect donations on the school gate at the beginning and end of the day. The money will be used to bless the people we work with (rather than fund the students going). We usually take a fund of money to buy things or invest in people and projects as we come across them on our visit.
If you would like to support the project, please make use of this giving opportunity.
The students on this years’ project include Joe Waters, Sam and Georgia Tarr, Dan Wells, Billy Spence, Isaac March, Lucy Hattersley, Megan Fear, Tayler Boothroyd, Ben Morfin, Tom Kirkby and Rachael Chadwick.

As you can see, work on the site across from the school is well under way. Lumia Homes have set up a road for staff to park on, which leaves the length of Livingstone Road for you to use as parents.
Please feedback to myself or the school office any concerns you may have as you observe the building operations and we will address them with Lumia Homes. We have noted that our cars are covered in dust at the end of the day. This is inevitable whilst they undertake the earthmoving that is part of establishing the groundworks.
We are monitoring any possible respiratory problems that may occur, especially in our known asthma sufferers. Please let us know if you have any concerns for your child during this initial part of the building process.
Can we remind you to park up at the beginning and end of the school day and walk your child/children into school. Do not allow them to cross the road and enter school alone. Also please do not leave children unattended in your car when it is parked up.
