Drama

Bradford Christian School's Drama department has been running since 2005 and in that time has developed a

curriculum from Year 6 up to GCSE in Year 10 and 11. Lessons are conducted in the recently renovated Studio 7 with portable lighting and sound facilities so that students can access design areas of the curriculum. The curriculum consists of units such as voice work, character and the study of different theatre styles such as melodrama and Victorian Gothic Theatre to the GCSE study of set texts and topics like Homelessness and War. In the past set texts have included The Crucible and Billy Liar.

The Drama department also facilitates the running of the Deeper Roots Project which aims to bring the school community together in order to create meaningful theatre which challenges the audience and gives students, parents and staff a real theatrical experience. In the past groups have performed at the Bradford Playhouse and have used other facilities in the Bradford area.
