18/12/2009 - Students have got the X Factor
On Friday 18th December 2009, each year group nominated two representatives to sing for their form in this year's X Factor competition. The morning was a blast where we had everything from banging renditions of Nickleback numbers to an acapella version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow by Abbie in Year 10
The top prize was scooped by Year 7's Jasmine who gave a storming rendition of Leona Lewis' Run. And she most certainly did run...away with the competition, winning by a massive 60 votes out of around 100.
Students and staff also welcomed back ex French teacher Kath Marsden to sit alongside the ever watchful and sometimes critical eyes of Mr Walker, Mr Moon and Miss Stan.
Will she remain undefeated until next year? Only time will tell but we can say this for sure, Jasmine definitely has the X Factor.
