NEWS
14/1/2010 School CLOSED Thursday - Ice
School will be closed on Thursday 14th January.
Bolton Woods was impassable this morning, the police closed Livingstone Road for a period today. There were more bumped cars on the three roads which slope down into the centre of Bolton Woods.
Conditions will be no better tomorrow morning and the council will not be gritting any of the approaches. I thought it might help you make plans if you had this information this evening. We hope the thaw sets in and that we can get to school on Friday. Please keep checking the website through the day for updates on our particular situation.
You might be interested to know that we will receive our OFSTED inspection on Monday 18th January. The inspectors will be with us for the for the first four days of next week. We did anticipate an inspection sometime this term, and we are ready.
As part of the inspection process, we will be sending you a survey through the post, which should be returned with your child by Monday 18th January.
Year 10 and 11 students, please check the website to receive posted work tasks. For those students on GCSE courses, your education should continue during the bad weather, and I expect you to access this site for work.
Please drop a line to your teachers online to tell them that you have received the work and are studying at home.
Regards
Mr Moon.
