14/1/2010 - Students build igloo
What do you do when the weather's too cold to do PE outside? Last Friday, the upper school students in cahoots with Mr Walker and Mr Bateman, had the perfect idea; beat the big freeze and build an igloo.

Students from years 9, 10 and 11 pulled together and showed their Dunkirk spirit by building the biggest and best igloo BCS has ever seen. So proud were they of their achievements that photographs were taken and a facebook group started up.

So what next lies in store for the BCS playground in extreme weather conditions? The rumour mill has it that plans are in place for a full scale summer house should June bring a heatwave. Or perhaps a range of hand built kayaks once the autumn rains set in around October. Watch this space.
