New Student Application Process: Reception to Year 11

New Student Application Process: Reception to Year 11

  • Step 1 - Tour

Attend a pre-booked show-around of Bradford Christian School. It would be great if you could organise for your child to attend as well. This is a great opportunity to see specific departments and ask vital questions. We'll also need to ask you some questions about your child's school background.

You can contact our office team on 01274 532649 / office@bxs.org.uk or book a show round slot here.

  • Step 2 - Application

Our Before you apply box at the top of this page will direct you to key information for you and your child(ren). Complete our online application form, please note there is a non-refundable application administration fee of £50 payable by PayPal or BACS(details on the application form).

When we've received your application form, relavant documentation and fee, we will start your application. This includes but is not limited to contacting your child's current school for information on their learning if a current school years report is not included in the application form. We'll get back to you as soon as we can.

  • Step 3 - Experience

Now we can arrange a 3 day experience or taster for your child(ren). Some schools call this a trial but this time is for everyone to get accustomed to each other. As well as getting to know our staff and students, your child will sit a number of tests during the 3 days with us. These tests are to help us understand your child's learning and include English, Maths and Cognative Ability Tests. Tests are not entrance exams however test results will be reviewed along with the application and school report as part of the application process.

  • Step 4 - Interview

You are now required to attend a partnership meeting with one of the Head of Department and Seniour Leadership Team where the admission decision is made. If your application is successful, we'll setup monthly school fee payments, receive the compulsory £500 bond (per child to secure place) payment and sign our Partnership agreement along with some other forms.

If your child fails to start school within one term of the confirmed date, you will forfeit the bond and be required to pay this amount again. Your application will then need to be reconsidered by the Senior Leadership Team.

Should a place not be available, your child will be placed on a waiting list according to the Admissions Policy. You will then be contacted when a place for your child becomes available.
