The Week Ahead – Week commencing 14th November

Quick Stop Notices

  • School Lunches can be ordered before 9am on a Monday for the week.
  • Remembrance Service in the school hall on Sunday 13th November at 10.30am, led by Rev Tracy Milne (see the school Facebook page)
  • Christmas jumper day 8th Dec
  • Teachers are on duty each day from 8:45am and not before. Please don’t drop children off until a teacher is outside.
  • You should have received an email about Mr McGrail this week, who is currently receiving chemotherapy for cancer. Please pray for him.
  • Lost property – we are collecting a number of school jumpers, and a black hoodie between age 11-12 and 13-14. PLEASE label uniform a biro name is fine. You may have one or two jumpers and blazers, but we have several. Our primary children often distinguish owners by sniffing them, this ability seems to wane in secondary!
  • Our heating is on but we are cautious, children may need some extra layers, and definitely need a coat that can be fastened when outside. If it’s waterproof that’s even better, as we want to avoid the cabin fever of being inside all day long when it is a little wet.
  • A reminder to please park sensitively, even when dropping off or picking up for a few minutes. Our neighbours get frustrated when they can’t leave or enter their drive, or when cars are parked on corners obstructing their view.

Parents evening this week

It has been so good to see parents back in the building after a three year pause.

Thanks for bearing with us as we worked out the new booking system, and for the encouraging feedback you have sent. We are learning how to do these things again, and I am so grateful to those with more IT skills than me. I am privileged to work with a team of professionals who care about your children’s education. At a time when there are so many reports of teacher burnout and dissatisfaction across the country , I am grateful to the BCS team who go above and beyond.

We are a body with many parts. The Bible tells us this in 1 Corinthians 12, where it says

18 God has placed each part in the body just as he wanted it to be. 19 If all the parts were the same, how could there be a body? 20 As it is, there are many parts. But there is only one body

27 You are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of it.

I am very grateful for the body in BCS. Thanks for being part of it

Thank you for your support of Bradford Christian School

Have a Blessed Weekend
