Headteacher's Message
Our Mission
To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.
Our Vision
To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
At half term I had the privilege of returning with my family to my second home in Cambodia. We spent a disproportionate amount of time re living Eden and Alfie’s childhood. We visited our school of almost 11 years, and spoke lots about Christian education and it’s value. I loved hearing my children (now 24 and 26) reminisce about their teachers, assemblies, school camps, celebration evenings, proms, friends and life. I love the people they are now, and so much of who they are is down to their experiences at school. We spent two evenings with their old Maths and Art teachers and their families, a real treat! Sometimes we forget how important the formative years are, but I was reminded of the value of sacrificing material things so that our children get such a rich experience of school. Both of mine have a world view rooted in the Christian values and teaching they received, and I am so grateful to everyone who has been part of shaping them. As I walked around BCS this week I saw staff pouring into your children, interested in their lives, praying for them (and you) and wanting to do a great job of teaching them. I am thankful for the partnership we have in bringing up your children, who are known, loved, valued and respected.
Our vision is for a Christian Community - Through partnership with parents, churches and the wider community, all BCS students are loved, valued and respected. Each child is accepted, nurtured, challenged and encouraged. They are inspired to discover and develop their unique God-given abilities as they grow in confidence to see themselves the way Christ sees them.
My prayer at the moment is that our students know they are loved, valued and respected, accepted, nurtured, challenged and encouraged.
