Middle School Residential
Dear Middle school parents.
Please look out for the email (link below) that Mrs Pickles sent out today with details for the residential at Netherside Hall, Monday 2nd – Wednesday 4th october.
Please let us know your response to the request that you pick your child up from the residential at 12:45 on the Wednesday, an unfortunate measure forced on us by a scheduled train strike.
There is a drop in available to you if you have questions on Monday 25th September at 3:30. Please come into the reception area.
Please make sure you have provided all items on the kit list.

Building Project / Parking
All on track for end of October, will be two classrooms, mainly for Maths and Science in middle and upper school, enabling us to develop our autism provision space. Thank you for being flexible with routes around school and respectful parking so as to keep good relations with our neighbours. Please be mindful that the local residents have received a letter from the council asking them to photograph any incidents of inconsiderate parking.

Headteacher’s Message
Our Mission
To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.
Our Vision
To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
This term our lovely year 11 students have stepped up as student leaders. Their roles are many and varied – including, but not limited to, welcoming students in the morning, helping in lessons, cleaning up after lunch, being extra eyes in the playground, leading assemblies, supporting lunch club and being all round fantastic teenagers.
I am thrilled to see these people, many of whom were in my first BCS class as year 4, and some who I first met even earlier, during a brief stint in in EYFS in 2013! I am privileged to have witnessed part of their journey and see the impact BCS has had on them. They are a great group of young people, who bring a lot of joy into school.
A number of people have been part of this process including parents, teachers, families and church communities. There have been times where they have worked through teenage issues, social, emotional, academic and spiritual challenges, such as friendships, extreme workload, faith questions, behaviour, peer pressure to name but a few.
Our students are supported in school by a staff team who care greatly, pray faithfully and want the best for each of them. I am grateful for those in our team who regularly prioritise praying for our students, and the relationships they foster with them.
