Headteacher's Message
Our Mission
To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.
Our Vision
To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
We are now entering the exam period in school. In the next six weeks our students will be facing GCSEs, Functional Skills exams and SATS. I urge those of you who pray to remember those sitting challenging exams, that they continue to work hard to please God.
There are all sorts of motivations for our students - career pathways, sixth forms, jobs, pleasing parents, pleasing teachers, or just being the best they can be. My prayer is that our students will include God in their plans. Whilst it is important they work hard for their own self esteem, and to make parents proud, we hope that they will be driven by a desire to honour and please God
My message to our students is this:
As you prepare for your exams, as you revise in your room, as you go into the exam room, at that minute you turn over the paper, as you experience panic, on results day, remind yourselves that ‘the only thing that really matters is that I should bring honour and pleasure to God my Father’.
During the exam window, join us in prayer that God’s power will uphold, his love will strengthen, and his promises will encourage the young people.
Pray that they are able to honour God in their attitude, choices and reactions. May they walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him.
My leaving Bible reading for year 11 is with Colossians 1
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[e] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you[f] to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
