|Please find attached this week’s Wingspan Lite (the Christian Schools Trust newsletter) which features an article about the Teacher Training Course which Mr Moon runs here in Bradford and in Witney, Oxfordshire. The course is aimed at helping teachers to define what it means to be a genuinely Christian practitioner in the community of a Christian School.|
Information about absence
Thanks to those parents who keep us up to date with information about absence.
If your child is unwell, please call school and leave a message so the office staff do not have to chase it up. It would be helpful if you could let us know the name and class of the child, the reason for absence, and when the child is likely to return to school. Our answering machine is left on so you can leave a message before school starts.
It is also really helpful to know if parents are going to be away for a period of time, or if someone else is collecting your child. Sometimes children need some extra support in school at these times, so please let us know.
We love your children lots and enjoy spending our days with them. However, can we remind you that it is a parent’s or carer’s responsibility to supervise children before and after school. School begins at 8:55 and ends at 3:10 for Primary children, and parents need to stay with their children in the playground until 8:55am when the children will be welcomed into school. There have been a number of children left unsupervised this week. Please do not send children into the playground unsupervised. This is to make sure children are safe at the beginning of the day.
When the weather is wet, slippery or snowy parents are still responsible until 8:55 am, please do not leave children at school unsupervised.
We have listened to concerns about drivers using the staff car park at the end of the day, and we have decided to use the side footpath gate at pick up time. This should help you to keep your children safe.
March 1st is World Book Day – we are giving plenty of notice for children in Years EYFS to Year 6 to plan to dress up as a book character for school. Extra merits will be given if they also bring the book to match the costume.
Primary Parent Evenings will take place after school in the week of 12th March, more details to follow.
Have a great half term break. School re-opens on Monday 19th February.
