We have had a number of ‘near misses’ lately at pick up and drop off times between cars and pedestrians. To try and avert these situations we would like to request that we operate a one way system, thereby avoiding the need for cars to reverse or turn round in the area outside the school.
To this end when approaching school up Livingstone Road please turn left up Bolton Hall Road (by the shop), then 1st right on Mexborough Rd and right on to the top of Livingstone Road. Please remember not to park on the yellow lines or in the school playground as this increases the risk of accidents. The playground is reserved for staff cars who generally arrive / leave school before /after the majority of pupils and also frees up more parking space on the roadside for parents.
Thank you to those parents have already adopted this new system.
