School linking year 3/4

Our Year Three and Four children have had a fantastic opportunity to take part in a Schools Linking programme this year. We have been linking with Crystal Gardens Primary School. Our two classes have written to one another, played some games as classes in shared online lessons and sent pieces of artwork and poetry to each other.

These are some of the questions the linking project has been helping us think about:

• Who am I? – thinking about things that make us who we are.
• Who are we? – thinking about the similarities and differences we may share with others
• Where do we live? – learning about the places and communities we live in.
• How do we all live together? – thinking about how we all live, play, and work together so that
  everyone is treated fairly.

The children have really enjoyed the activities and beginning to learn a little bit about each other. They are now very excited as we will be visiting each other’s classes this term and meeting in person. Our class will be visiting Crystal Gardens Primary on Tuesday for the morning. We will be joining together to do some fun activities, have lunch together and then return to school around 1:30pm. Crystal Gardens Primary will then be visiting us in May. We will be using our own minibuses for this trip and there will be no cost involved. We look forward to sharing our experiences with you.
