Dear Mrs. Prothero & BCS Staff,

This is a thank you note from us to all of you.

Anyone who has experienced any other school, like we have, would know Bradford Christian School is different in a positive way.

Whether it is in your organisational culture, or your love for education and the children in your care, perhaps only God can tell, but God knows we and our children love BCS to bits.

All we want to say is we are in awe of your environment that is filled with kindness and love, Godliness is well imbibed in the pupils that they are literally like family and siblings. It was always touching seeing older ones help younger ones as their “reading buddies” and your school is the one place children do not even see differences or colour because they are taught to be equal as children of God, and treat each other with love and respect.

We can’t speak highly of the teachers enough, each class our children have been they have loved their teachers and always look forward to going to school. They run into the school with joy and much enthusiasm, and always come back with fun stories.

We are blessed our children experienced BCS, and thankful for all the teachers and staff who make this amazing environment. We pay tribute to Mr. Moon and others for such vision which thrives today, hope you carry on.

As our children leave, they leave with treasured memories and so do we as a family. If we could move our house from Bracknell, Berkshire to Bradford, West Yorkshire so they still stay in BCS as one of our children asked, we would have but that won’t work, sadly.

So with great gratitude and a grateful heart, we say thank you for everything, God bless you all. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!

Love from the Abu-Adama family.
Special Mention

We were able to attend the year 11 leavers assembly last Friday and wanted to write to you to share some of our thoughts.

The morning was full of fun, laughter and also had some quite emotional points, particularly when each teacher was giving their personal testimony of working with a student. It seemed right to add our own reflections of what Bradford Christian School has meant to us as parents.

Our son was struggling in his previous primary school. He is quite a reserved chap, and we kept getting feedback from his teachers that he was too shy and needs to put himself forward. This even resulted in him being designated as having special needs and was put into extra classes for this. We could see that having a year of 2x 30 pupils was not ideal, and with some rather dominating children, he was simply getting lost.

We were aware of BCS both through good friends and Mr Moon had previously spoken in our Church in Thornton. We prayed about this as we had pre & post school care issues. It was then that Mrs Taylor came into our lives as his childminder which was a real answer to prayer and a blessing. He started in Year 3 in 2013.

When we look back over the years we are reminded of all the amazing blessings that BCS has given us as a family. Mrs Garcia was just fantastic with him when he started. As he has worked his way through the year groups he has benefitted from some amazing teachers and it was so evident from the testimonies on Friday just how much each student values their teachers and the impact that they have made. I’m not surprised by this as he has shared so much with us of the interactions he has had over these years.

I know that working in education, with all the challenges that teachers experience on a daily basis, both internal and external, requires so much. You have amazing teachers with exceptional skills, but when Christ is put before all these things you have a community with the most important thing at its heart. Bradford Christian School is something VERY special, and we can never thank you enough for what you have provided for our son.

I don’t know what your own experience of school was like for you but up to 16 mine wasn’t great. BCS has given our son so much joy and wonderful memories which will be with him for the rest of his life. As he approaches his next stage of hopefully joining Ilkley Grammar we know that this will be so different from BCS and will present particular challenges. Please pray for him that he would follow Christ’s path and come to know Him in a deeper way.

So we wanted to thank you and all of your team who have made such an impact upon our son over the years. It must have been so challenging during the past 2 years to lead a school and we thank you for your wisdom, and the care & support you have given to your staff and our children. A special mention to Mr Moon for his leadership within BCS and his very thoughtful words on Friday – we didn’t get chance to tell him just how spot on he was in his presentation. We would like to thank all of his teachers but in particular Mrs Horton, Mr Kershaw, Mrs March, and Mr Walker.

Best wishes

Michael & Cheryl
