Who to Contact First About Any Concerns
If you have any day-to-day concerns about your child, please contact your child's form teacher(s) first. Most classes have two teachers who work in pairs, so it's helpful to copy both teachers into your email.

🎓 Classroom 👨🏫 News
New eDen Forest Schools Class
In eDen this week Years 1-4 enjoyed a number of activities, landscaping our outdoors area and existing their creativity. They:
* roped around the grass area
* raked and reseeded the grass
* made a bark path around the Log Circle
* made self-portraits from leaves and sticks
* practised safely taking the Kelly Kettle off it's base (without fire, for now)
* ran a pop-up bakery selling Stickzels for 1p, 2p or 3p (p=pebble)
* added apple cores, orange peel and banana skins from the Food Waste bins around school to the compost bin so the worms can make new soil

Hi everyone,
I hope you've all had a good week. I'm writing to share some important news about our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) policy.
Our New RSE Policy
We're pleased to share our updated RSE policy, which comes into effect from September 2026. This policy reflects our commitment to providing age-appropriate, high-quality relationships and sex education that is both rooted in our Christian faith and fully compliant with the law.

Earlier this year, we consulted with you about our RSE provision. Thank you to everyone who shared their views - your feedback has directly shaped this policy.
Our Christian Approach
As a Christian school, we want to be clear about what our faith means for how we teach RSE:
We believe the Bible is our foundation – We trust Scripture as God's inspired and authoritative Word, and we use it to explore relationships, marriage, sex, and human dignity.
Every person has unconditional dignity – We believe every single person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent worth. We teach pupils to treat everyone with kindness and honour, regardless of their background, beliefs, lifestyle, or protected characteristics.
We teach God's design for sex and marriage – We teach that God's design for sexual intimacy is within marriage between one man and one woman. This is the consistent teaching of Scripture and the historic Christian understanding.
We also teach the law and diverse views – We teach the legal definition of marriage in England as fact (including same-sex marriage), and we acknowledge that Christians hold different views on some of these matters. We equip pupils to engage these conversations with wisdom, grace, and respect for all people.
We lead with grace and truth – Following Jesus' example, we create a safe space where pupils can ask honest questions without fear of shame or judgment, while being clear about our Christian convictions.
What Your Child Will Learn
Our curriculum covers:
- Respectful relationships and healthy boundaries
- Online safety, including AI-generated imagery and pornography
- Understanding families in their different forms
- Challenging sexism, stereotypes, and disrespectful behaviour
- Mental health and wellbeing
- All protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010
Primary (Years 5-6): Age-appropriate sex education about puberty and physical development
Secondary: Intimate relationships, consent, sexual health, the law, addressing harmful sexual behaviour, and suicide prevention
All content is taught in a way that honours our Christian values, teaches the law as fact, and supports every child's wellbeing.

You have the right to view our policy and all curriculum materials:
Your Right to Withdraw
Parents can request withdrawal from sex education only (not from relationships education, health education, or science content).
Middle: You can withdraw your child from sex education in Years 5-6. We must grant this request.
Secondary: You can request withdrawal up to three terms before your child turns 16.
