Headteacher's Message
Our Mission
To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.
Our Vision
To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
I am aware that many of you will be concerned about the recent budget announcement, and what it means for us at BCS.
As I have communicated already, we do not intend to increase fees this academic year, though we will need to be very careful with our spending to accommodate additional demands.
We are praying lots about this, and have been encouraged recently. In the midst of the bad news, I would like to share the good news:
A number of parents, churches and associates are committing to praying regularly for us as a school. Some are fighting this tax move at a higher legal level.
We have a growing number of applications for next year's Year 7, despite the potential fee increase. Currently we have a waiting list of children wanting to come, and we have accepted some already.
We have received a number of financial donations, some anonymous, to support families in need. These have already been allocated. Bradford Old Moor Sunday School Trust have been really generous to us.
We have some volunteers helping in school on a regular basis, giving of time, skill and expertise.
We have had a number of people from our community involved in events such as assemblies and residentials
We are working in partnership with the newly refurbished Community Centre. An example is using their recording studio for our band.
These encouragements affirm my belief that God wants us to exist, as Bradford Christian School, where we can partner with you to fulfil our Christian vision and mission.
At a time where there is a lot of bleak news circulating, let's be thankful for all that we can do, and the freedom to share faith.
