    Deputy Headteacher's Message

    Dear Parents
Some of you may already be aware that, after working at the school for 31 years, this will be my final year at BCS. I will, therefore, be leaving the school permanently in July 2025.
I will be the last of the original founding group to leave. It is really good to be able to do so knowing that the school, despite current challenges, is in a good place. It is also great to see a younger, committed staff team who will take up the baton of Christian Education in Bradford and make it relevant for the current generation.
It has been a privilege and a blessing to have had the opportunity to contribute to such a unique place but I am confident that, under Jane Prothero's leadership, the school can continue to prosper and to do good work in the Kingdom of God.
    Wishing you all every blessing,

    Headteacher's Message

    Our Mission

To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.

    Our Vision

To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

This week we had a great PD day. There were lots of pockets of professional development around school, and lots was achieved.
Our playground now has a traversing wall, thanks to Mr Stannett's tireless fundraising helping us buy equipment. The whole Virgo family helped Mrs Kirivan paint some new games on the playground, the AP staff tidied the decking area, all our LSA staff updated first aid training and a number of teaching staff were trained in instructional coaching.
The response from many of our students was amazing. There were lots of thanks, happy children, celebrating the small improvements to their space. I love our community and the gratitude that exists. Recently I have been reading a book about this, and recommend it as a parenting manual. As with many books, there are pros and cons, but I found it encouraging - even as a mum of adult children!

There are ten main take aways for those interested
I recommend reading the summary, even if the whole book seems a bit daunting.
