Growing Lives that Bear Fruit
Quick Stop Notices ✋🏼📋
Please fill in this form below to help us understand family intentions frome June 2026 onwards. Thank you in advance.
The safety of our pupils is our absolute priority. We have noticed an increase in cars parking on pavements and near junctions, which significantly reduces visibility for children crossing the road.
Please remember:
-
Do not block driveways: Even for a "quick drop-off," this causes significant frustration for our neighbors.
-
Keep pavements clear: Pedestrians should not be forced into the road to get around parked vehicles.
We understand that parking near the school is limited, and we appreciate your cooperation in keeping the area safe and stress-free for our children and our neighbors alike.
Please also help us maintain good relationships with our neighbours by responding with Grace and Humilty if approached with regard to your parking. Try not to get involved in arguments are "this for that" altercations.
We are activley encouraging our neighbours to seek police and community advice to which they have full right to do so. However, we can play our part in helping keep on-street parking free by mainting good relationships with our neighbours.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
As the weather warms up, here's a quick reminder of our uniform and make-up policies:
Uniform Policy:
- Full summer school uniform must be worn at all times, including PE uniform on PE days
- Pupils may wear summer uniform (polo shirts, summer dresses for girls)
- Trainers should be black
- Non-uniform items should not be worn to school
- All uniform items should be clearly labelled with your child's name
- For Year 11: They can wear their own clothes, but Friday rules still apply regarding make-up and jewellery
Make-Up Policy:
- Make-up, including nail polish, is not permitted for any pupils in middle school
- This includes subtle or "natural" make-up
- False eyelashes and nail extensions are not permitted
- Staff will ask middle school pupils to remove make-up if worn to school
- In upper school, only subtle make-up is allowed
Why these policies matter:
- They create a sense of community and belonging
- They remove distractions from learning
- They reflect our values of modesty and simplicity
- They ensure all pupils can participate fully in all activities
If you have any questions about our uniform or make-up policies, or if there are financial barriers to purchasing uniform items, please contact the school office in confidence.
Please remember that the school playground is not open until a teacher is on duty.
- Supervision begins: Between 8:40 am and 8:45 am. If children need to arrive earlier than this please book them into breakfast club with Mrs Virgo - it opens at 7:55am and costs £3.00 a day.
- Important: Please do not leave children unattended on the playground before this point. Staff are in essential meetings inside the building until duty begins.

📰 Headteacher's Message
Our Mission
To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.
Our Vision
To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
Dear Parents and Carers,
There's so much happening at school at the moment, and I wanted to share some updates and celebrations with you all.
First, I'm absolutely thrilled to share some wonderful news: Miss Sarah Bullen has achieved her Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)! We've always known Sarah is a fabulous teacher. Her passion, dedication, and the care she shows every single child in her classroom is truly special. But now she's officially proven it! Sarah's Christ-centred approach to teaching, her creativity in the classroom, and her genuine love for helping children grow, both academically and spiritually, make her such a gift to our school community. Please do join me in congratulating Sarah on this fantastic achievement. We're so blessed to have her as part of our team, and I know she'll continue to inspire and nurture our children for years to come (after her maternity leave next year)
Our Year 11 students are doing brilliantly with their GCSE exams, and the final timetabled exams are on 17 June. I've been so impressed by the dedication, resilience, and positive attitudes our students have shown during this challenging time. They're a real credit to you as parents lots of good food (especially breakfast!), and encouraging them with prayer and God's promises – reminding them that their worth isn't defined by exam results, but by their identity as children of God. We're praying for each of them daily and trusting that God will give them peace, clarity, and the ability to show all they've learned.
I'm also pleased to share that our portacabin refurbishment will be completed after the GCSE exams finish. This means we'll have a fantastic new space ready for next term, an updated exams room for future assessments, improved staff workspace, a welcoming parent meeting space, and additional flexible areas for learning and community use. This is such a blessing for our school and represents God's continued provision for our growing community.
Reports will be going home next week, giving you a picture of your child's progress this term. These celebrate achievements and highlight areas for growth. Do take time to go through the grades with your child, celebrating their successes together and discussing any areas where they might need extra support. If you'd like to chat about anything in the report, please don't hesitate to get in touch with your child's teacher – we're always happy to talk.
Our whole-school celebration is booked for the evening of 9th July, and I really hope you'll be able to join us. It's going to be a wonderful opportunity to come together as our school family, present awards recognising academic achievement, character development, and service to others, celebrate all that God has done this year, give thanks for the growth we've seen in our pupils, and look ahead with hope and excitement. More details about timings will follow soon, but please do pop this in your diaries now. It's always such a special evening, and it means so much to the children when their families are there to celebrate with them.
Our D of E students continue to amaze me! Their commitment, teamwork, and perseverance through the various challenges has been outstanding. They're developing skills that will serve them well throughout their lives, and demonstrating the Christian values we share– serving others, developing God-given talents, and working together in community. Well done to all our D of E participants – you're making us very proud!
As I walk around school each day, there's so much to be thankful for. Our pupils are growing in knowledge and understanding, making the most of the minds God has given them. I see increasing kindness, compassion, and integrity in our students every day – they're learning what it means to love God and love others. Our school family continues to support one another with grace and generosity, whether it's a kind word in the corridor or helping a friend who's struggling. I'm constantly grateful for our incredible team who serve with such excellence and Christ-like love, going above and beyond every single day. And perhaps most importantly, children are exploring their faith, asking deep questions, and growing in their relationship with God. This is what it's all about!
As we move through this busy time, please join me in praying for our GCSE students – for peace, clear minds, and the ability to demonstrate all they've learned; for Miss Bullen as she celebrates her QTS and continues to grow in her calling; for our building works – for safety and timely completion; and for our whole school community – for continued unity, love, and grace.
Thank you so much for your partnership in your child's education and for your continued support of Bradford Christian School. Together, we're raising up the next generation to love God, love learning, and love others. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human beings." – Colossians 3:23
