🧑🏻🎓 Classroom News 📰
Nursery Beach (at home) Day!
Nursery, played at the beach, paddled in the water had fruit cocktails, we had a bouncy castle and played on the PE apparatus. We had so much fun.
Forest Schools
On Thursday Mr Kershaw had his final session with Acorns, after six weeks of forest schools experiences. They put up a tarp shelter using the timber hitches, reef knots and bowlines, then Mr K cooked sausages while we talked about what we'd learnt, what we'd enjoyed, and what we'd like to get up to in the natural environment this summer. Then we walked to Go Bowling and the students were able to identify oak, sycamore, willow, rowan, silver birch, fern, bramble, nettle and dock along the way.
Primary Trip to Bramhope
Excellent day at bramhope scout camp. Primary shone.
Middle School last week
On Wednesday Middle School headed up through the wooded area behind the school to the viewpoint below the quarry, alongside 7 lads from Eden Boys School and their teacher. Four groups picked litter, playing Viking Battle Chess, sketches the landscape and practiced knots and tarp shelters.
Yr9/10 GO APE!
Warm wishes from the King!
Students from our litter picking day in May were thrilled to see the King and Queen land in their helicopter on our local field as they visited Bradford to celebrate us being the City of Culture 2025. The children wrote letters to the palace and we have had a response on behalf of King Charles Thanking them for their messages and sending warm wishes to them all.
Annual Celebration and Awards Evening 2025!
Thank you to everyone who came last Thursday night, it was a fantastic evening celebrating the year gone, awarding high achievers, and looking to next year with God's help.

Headteacher's Message
Our Mission
To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.
Our Vision
To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
As this academic year draws to a close, I wanted to extend a sincere thank you to all of you for your dedicated support and partnership. We are grateful for the blessings we've witnessed and your commitment and trust in us. I don’t take the responsibility lightly of providing Christian education
We are incredibly proud of everything our students have achieved, and their growth throughout the year. From mastering new concepts to developing important social skills, their hard work is evident, and we know that a significant part of that comes from the encouragement they receive from you at home. We appreciate your efforts in fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment
This week it has been a wonderful community building time. A highlight for me was the year 9s leading sports day for primary and middle school - they were fabulous.
Year 10 have been involved in three days of service projects including helping at the community centre, doing jobs in school and working with the foodbank.
Even our middle school did a litter pick in the community this week.
A special thank you to all our parent volunteers, PFTA members, and everyone who contributed their time and effort to school events, field trips, and classroom activities. Your contributions enrich our school community and help us provide invaluable experiences for our students.
I am thankful that there have been chances for people to display our vision - ‘everyone is committed to a lifestyle of lovingly serving others’
For those moving on to a new year level or transitioning to a different school, we send our best wishes and prayers for your next adventure. May God bless your paths, direct your steps, and keep you always a part of our school community.
And thank you Mr walker for years of working tirelessly at BCS.
We are already looking forward to welcoming you all back in September for another exciting year of learning and growth. Please keep an eye on our school website and future communications for details regarding registration, supply lists, and important dates for the next year.
Wishing all our students and their families a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer break, filled with a good mix of peace, joy, and refreshing. I pray that the Lord grants you the opportunity to relax, create lasting memories, and recharge.
Thank you once again for a wonderful year, and may the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
