Headteacher's Message

Our Mission

To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.

Our Vision

To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

Welcome back to school after a snowy start to term. This week it has been a relief to be in the building, which is working for us as we await repairs and redecoration. The building has been warm, and is drying out quicker than expected, thanks for all the dehumidifiers.

We have changed some staffing around this term.

Mrs Honore has left us due to ongoing health issues. Mrs Wilson has taken on Music across school, as well as her Health and Safety and learning support roles.

Mrs Kershaw is expanding her SENCO role, taking a teaching and learning lead across school, including in the Autism Provision, where she is now working with Mrs Horton and Mrs Garratt.

Mr Kwon will join us in February, taking on some upper school PE, finance, and some Middle School Science, along with Mrs Virgo.

Mr Horton is now responsible for year 9 and 10 Geography as well as working with the upper school PE team.

Our DSL is Mrs Pickles, supported by Mrs Hoskins and myself.

It is such a privilege to be able to lead a staff team who are so willing to move around and meet whole school needs as they arise. At a time where we hear national news about disillusioned teachers leaving the profession, it is refreshing to work with people who give so capably and willingly. This is a team who came in last week to clean up the mess after the flood, who cover each other when someone is away, who mentor each other to develop professional skills, who support each other through the ups and downs of every day life, who pray together and who want the best for the people we teach.

I really do appreciate the team here and their service to our school.
