    Headteacher's Message

    Our Mission

To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.

    Our Vision

To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

This week we had Inclusion Quality Mark visit school to look at our practice. It was an affirming day for us, and I am thankful to staff, students and parents who represented us.

In summary (you will be getting a full report later) our assessor noticed that BCS is 'gorgeous, friendly and warm'.

Everyone speaks highly about the school and their experience, summing it up with the words 'love, family, relationship, and home', Parents say it's a privilege to be here
Transitions are well managed between phases of education, children are prepared for adulthood well, and the delightful friendly students are a credit to school.
She noticed that behaviour and levels of engagement are exceptional, with high expectations, appropriate personalised support and confident students.
The assessor thought governors are supportive and have a range of strengths
She described Year 8 Bar Mitzvah as exceptional, and she would like to take it to her own group of schools. The mixed year groups and 3 year GCSE allow for a choice of appropriate pathways.
She did notice that the older students would like after school netball, football, maths and science!
Thanks to all who took part. I am privileged to be part of an incredible team of people. It was affirming to read the comments on Linked in last night
