Week Ahead: Celebrating Our School Family

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week, I want to pause and give thanks for something special about Bradford Christian School – our wonderful families who reflect Christ's love through their encouragement and support every single day.

The blessing you are to us

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

As staff, we are continually blessed by the positive relationships we share with so many of our families. Your words of thanks, your grace when things don't go quite to plan, and your partnership in your children's education are a genuine blessing to us all. These messages of support and encouragement uplift our spirits, especially during busy seasons, and remind us why we're called to this work. Even the tough conversations can be times of encouragement for us. 

I have been privileged to meet with many of you recently, and your kindness, support and encouragement have encouraged me so much.  Thank you for being such faithful partners in our shared mission.

Our dedicated PTFA

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." (1 Peter 4:10)

A heartfelt thank you to our PTFA members who serve tirelessly behind the scenes. Your dedication to fundraising, organising events, and building our school community is invaluable. The funds you raise directly benefit our pupils and help us provide opportunities and resources that make a real difference to their education and wellbeing.

Acts of kindness that inspire us

We've been particularly moved by some wonderful acts of generosity recently:

Period dignity initiative: Thank you to the parent who generously donated girls' sanitary products. These have made our pupils feel supported and cared for. This thoughtful contribution helps remove barriers and ensures all our girls can participate fully in school life with confidence and dignity.

Sharing your gifts: We're grateful to those parents who have shared their God-given talents and professional knowledge with us, including:

• Marketing advice that helps us share our school's story effectively
• Fundraising connections that open new doors of opportunity
• Guidance from those with specialist experience in various fields

Your willingness to use your gifts to serve our school community is a beautiful example of Christian stewardship in action.

Supporting one another in love

"Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves." (Romans 12:10)

What truly makes our school community special is the way families support one another with Christ-like love. Whether it's:

• Welcoming and helping new families settle in
• Sharing advice and encouragement during challenging times
• Being there for each other with compassion and understanding
• Contributing to our wider community spirit with generosity and grace

This mutual support creates the warm, caring environment that defines Bradford Christian School and reflects God's love in action.
