    Deputy Headteacher's Message

    Dear Parents
Some of you may already be aware that, after working at the school for 31 years, this will be my final year at BCS. I will, therefore, be leaving the school permanently in July 2025.
I will be the last of the original founding group to leave. It is really good to be able to do so knowing that the school, despite current challenges, is in a good place. It is also great to see a younger, committed staff team who will take up the baton of Christian Education in Bradford and make it relevant for the current generation.
It has been a privilege and a blessing to have had the opportunity to contribute to such a unique place but I am confident that, under Jane Prothero's leadership, the school can continue to prosper and to do good work in the Kingdom of God.
    Wishing you all every blessing,

    Headteacher's Message

    Our Mission

To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.

    Our Vision

To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

This week we have had a few exciting deliveries. Thanks to our caretaker Mr Peckover, we have turf in the playground on our very small but growing green space. We have a tidier AP garden, still being worked on. Mr Stannett sourced a generous grant for EYFS play equipment and a traversing climbing wall for our main playground. Two of our classrooms have been decorated post flood, the other two and the lab to follow. School is looking a little tidier and we are ready for a busy summer term. I am grateful for these additions at a time of financial uncertainty.

We have also enrolled several children across school for September 2025, despite the tax challenges. It seems that people still value Christian education, Christian teachers, our small classes, and lack of strike action in school!

I am part of a number of groups of head teachers, and know there are challenges in many education settings at the moment. It reminds me to be grateful for our staff who are one of our biggest assets. Many BCS staff regularly go above and beyond expectations, giving time in holidays, weekends and after school, working on additional projects, visits, curriculum enhancements and personal professional development.

I am also grateful to each family who chooses to send children here. I know many of you make big sacrifices to afford increasing fees, and you are appreciated.

    Thanks for sticking with us
