    📰 Headteacher's Message

    Our Mission

To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.

    Our Vision

To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

    Celebrating Our Provision

    Dear Parents and Carers,

I wanted to share something with you that has really struck me this week – and it's something I'm incredibly proud of.

How Cover Works at Bradford Christian School

This week, with a number of key members of staff away, our school has continued to run beautifully. I wanted to take a moment to explain why this happens so seamlessly at Bradford Christian School.

Our Staff Are in London with Years 7 and 8

Some of our staff are currently in London with our Year 7 and 8 pupils on their residential trip. One is away doing his other job, which takes some time away from school but benefits us hugely, and some have been ill. While they're away they still create wonderful learning experiences for our children, and their usual classes haven't been left with supply teachers or strangers.

Instead, their colleagues – the teachers who already know and love your children – have stepped in to cover these classes. These staff haven't had a holiday! They've willingly taken on additional responsibilities to ensure every child continues to receive the excellent education they deserve.

We Don't Use Supply Staff – Because Every Child Matters

Every person who steps into a classroom at our school is someone we have carefully appointed. This is the calling of our staff, expressed right from their applications to work here – a commitment to our children and our Christian community that goes beyond a job description.

When cover is needed, it's never about 'babysitting' – it's about maintaining the exceptional quality of education your children deserve, delivered by people who are part of our school family. Those away leave careful planning, seating plans, notes about individual needs, and resources to be used, making it a joy to step in and cover.

What makes this so powerful is that each child is known, accepted and loved. Our staff don't just know names – they know personalities, learning styles, friendship groups, what makes each child tick, and what support they need to flourish. This individualism is at the heart of everything we do at Bradford Christian School.

Staff already know those students who need a quiet word of encouragement at the start of the lesson, that some children work best when seated near the front, and that others might need a gentle reminder about staying on task. Your child isn't just another face in the classroom – they're a unique individual, valued and understood.

A Special Thank You to Mrs Bullen

As many of you know, Mrs Bullen will be going on maternity leave this year, and it starts today We want to wish her all the very best as she prepares for this exciting new chapter.

Mrs Bullen has done an outstanding job passing on her maths teaching to Mrs Stewart – a seamless transition that means your children's learning hasn't missed a beat. Mrs Stewart already knows your children, understands their individual needs, and is committed to helping each one reach their full potential. This is the kind of professionalism and care that defines our staff team.

Prayer at the Heart of Everything We Do

This deep knowledge of each child isn't just professional – it's rooted in our Christian foundation. Every week, our whole staff team prays for our children and families. We lift you up by name, bringing your joys and concerns before God.

Throughout the week, staff also meet together in classrooms on other days to pray. These aren't formal meetings – they're moments where colleagues gather to pray for specific children, particular challenges, and the life of our school community. This culture of prayer means that your child is held not just in our minds and our planning, but in our hearts and our prayers.

    Working Together as One

Our Senior Leadership Team has worked brilliantly together this week to address some serious issues as a true team. This unity and collective responsibility – this willingness to support one another and put the children first – is what makes our school special.

Thanks to God for His Provision

I am so thankful that we have appointed such amazing people to work with your children. We have a team whose calling is to serve, who plan with care, and who are committed to knowing, accepting and loving each individual child in their care.

Quality has been maintained not despite challenges, but because of the wonderful people God has blessed our school with – people who see your child as the precious individual they are.

    Have a wonderful week ahead.

    Warm regards,

    J.Prothero
