🎓 Classroom 👨🏫 News
Year 9/10 Barcelona Trip
Our Year 9/10 students have been on residential in Barcelona led by Mrs Garcia, Mrs Bullen and Mr Kwon.
The trip has been a huge success, characterised by cultural immersion, spiritual reflection, and impressive student independence.
Trip Highlights
-
Sightseeing & Culture: The group visited iconic landmarks including La Sagrada Família, Montjuïc, the Olympic Stadium, and Poble Espanyol. They also explored the town of Horta and experienced the unique tradition of Catalan human towers, with some students even participating.
-
Personal Growth: Students practiced their Spanish while shopping on La Rambla, learned to navigate the city’s metro and bus systems, and applied what they have leant in Create lessons by helping cook a tapas dinner.
-
Spirit & Reflection: Daily devotionals focused on worship and the "clothing" of one's attitude (Colossians 3:12). Staff praised the children for being a "credit" to their parents and representing the school brilliantly.
-
Community Impact: The group engaged in a thought-provoking session with a local resident working with refugees, adding a meaningful layer of global citizenship to the trip.
National Theatre workshop
Oak Class had visitors from The National Theatre 🎭 do a workshop with them this week. They focussed on what it means to be English inspired by Gareth Southgate’s Dear England letter to the nation in the wake of the Euros in 2021. They took part in a creative project with schools across the country about what they would change in the world if they could - due to be released this summer.

Headteacher's Message
Our Mission
To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.
Our Vision
To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we move further into this term, we wanted to take a moment to reflect with you on the daily life and atmosphere here at Bradford Christian School.
Our Vision is to be a community where everyone grows in character, faith, and wisdom. We often talk to the students about being like the tree in Psalm 1:3, with deep roots that allow them to prosper in everything they do. For those roots to grow strong, we must maintain a school environment that is safe, respectful, and focused on learning.
The "Why" Behind Our Rules
We don’t view school rules as restrictions; we see them as a practical way to live out the call in Micah 6:8: To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God.
When we ask students to follow our school expectations, we are inviting them to practice:
- Acting Justly: By being honest, respecting school property, and following instructions, students learn integrity.
- Loving Mercy: By using kind words and resolving conflicts peacefully, they learn the heart of Christ.
- Walking Humbly: By wearing their uniform with pride and listening to their teachers, they develop a spirit of respect and a readiness to learn.
A Quick Reminder of Our Core Expectations:
To ensure every child can "grow in wisdom and stature" (Luke 2:52), we ask for your continued support with the following:
- Punctuality & Attendance: Arriving on time ensures a settled start to the day for every student.
- Uniform & Appearance: Wearing the correct uniform reflects our shared identity as a Christian community.
- Respectful Communication: We expect students to speak kindly to one another and to show high levels of respect to all staff members.
- Ready to Learn: Ensuring students have the correct equipment and a focused attitude in every lesson.
Our Partnership with You
Our Mission is to provide a holistic Christian education, but this is only possible through our partnership with you. When we are on the same page regarding expectations, children feel secure and are able to reach their full God-given potential.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain BCS as a place where character and faith go hand-in-hand.
