Headteacher's Message
Our Vision
To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
This week I have attended two conferences - one with the Independent Schools Association, and one with Teach Beyond, an international organisation who very much understand our vision and mission as a Christian school. Both events were encouraging, but there were four main takeaways for me:
Mission, vision and values matter! They should impact all decisions about the school. Children spend a lot of hours in school, and they are impacted as much by the character of those they work with as the content taught. Staff need to make sure their own Christian faith and understanding of the Bible is solid, in order to share it effectively with others. Parents should work in partnership with school staff and also with their churches - we all need each other to achieve vision and mission.
I am grateful to those who covered me whilst I attended these sessions, allowing me time to listen, reflect, pray and consider. I am also grateful that our community represents more than twenty Christian churches, many of whom support us in prayer, finances, visiting speakers, volunteers and practical support. Thank you.
