    A few important reminders

    Car Parking

The safety of our pupils is our absolute priority. We have noticed an increase in cars parking on pavements and near junctions, which significantly reduces visibility for children crossing the road.

    Please remember:

    • Do not block driveways: Even for a "quick drop-off," this causes significant frustration for our neighbors.

    • Keep pavements clear: Pedestrians should not be forced into the road to get around parked vehicles.

We understand that parking near the school is limited, and we appreciate your cooperation in keeping the area safe and stress-free for our children and our neighbors alike.

Please also help us maintain good relationships with our neighbours by responding with Grace and Humilty if approached with regard to your parking. Try not to get involved in arguments are "this for that" altercations.

We are activley encouraging our neighbours to seek police and community advice to which they have full right to do so. However, we can play our part in helping keep on-street parking free by mainting good relationships with our neighbours.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

    Uniform

As the weather warms up, here's a quick reminder of our uniform and make-up policies:

    Uniform Policy:

    • Full summer school uniform must be worn at all times, including PE uniform on PE days
    • Pupils may wear summer uniform (polo shirts, summer dresses for girls)
    • Trainers should be black
    • Non-uniform items should not be worn to school
    • All uniform items should be clearly labelled with your child's name
    • For Year 11: They can wear their own clothes, but Friday rules still apply regarding make-up and jewellery

    Make-Up Policy:

    • Make-up, including nail polish, is not permitted for any pupils in middle school
    • This includes subtle or "natural" make-up
    • False eyelashes and nail extensions are not permitted
    • Staff will ask middle school pupils to remove make-up if worn to school
    • In upper school, only subtle make-up is allowed

    Why these policies matter:

    • They create a sense of community and belonging
    • They remove distractions from learning
    • They reflect our values of modesty and simplicity
    • They ensure all pupils can participate fully in all activities

If you have any questions about our uniform or make-up policies, or if there are financial barriers to purchasing uniform items, please contact the school office in confidence.

    Morning Drop-Off & Playground Safety

Please remember that the school playground is not open until a teacher is on duty.

    • Supervision begins: Between 8:40 am and 8:45 am. If children need to arrive earlier than this please book them into breakfast club with Mrs Virgo - it opens at 7:55am and costs £3.00 a day.
    • Important: Please do not leave children unattended on the playground before this point. Staff are in essential meetings inside the building until duty begins.

    📰 Headteacher's Message

    Our Mission

To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.

    Our Vision

To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

    Dear Parents and Carers,

This week I would like to highlight our Week Ahead prayer focus on the persecuted church.

Our heart in sharing this is simply to help families pray for Christians around the world who face persecution for their faith, using information from Open Doors, a charity that supports them.

We value every single member of our school family and are committed to communicating in ways that are thoughtful, respectful and kind.

Why We Pray for Others Around the World

As a Christian school, one of the things we value is teaching our children to look beyond themselves and to care about others who are suffering. We believe that prayer changes things, and helping our children develop compassionate hearts for people around the world is an important part of who we are and what we do.

    About Open Doors

Open Doors is a Christian charity that has been walking alongside persecuted Christians for over 65 years. They work quietly and faithfully in more than 60 countries, providing:

    • Emergency relief and trauma care for those who have suffered because of their faith
    • Bibles and Christian literature to believers who have limited or no access to Scripture
    • Livelihood support and training to help Christians support their families and become self-sufficient
    • Advocacy on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves
    • Prayer support and awareness-raising about the reality of persecution

Why This Matters to Us as a School

We partner with Open Doors because we believe it helps our children to:

    • Develop compassion – Learning to care about people they may never meet helps them develop empathy and a heart for the world
    • Build awareness – Many Christians around the world face discrimination, violence and imprisonment simply for their faith. We believe it's important for our children to understand this reality, even as we protect their innocence
    • Grow in gratitude – Understanding the challenges others face helps our children appreciate the freedom we have to worship, pray and practice our faith openly
    • Learn to pray with purpose – Praying for real people in real situations helps children understand that prayer is practical and powerful, not abstract
    • Live out our Christian values – The Bible calls us to "remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are ill-treated as if you yourselves were suffering" (Hebrews 13:3)

When we pray for persecuted Christians, we're not making judgements about entire nations, religions or people groups – we're simply asking God to protect and strengthen individual believers who are suffering.

    Moving Forward Together

We want to continue to pray for others around the world as part of our Christian ethos – it's too important not to. But we will do so with much greater care and sensitivity in how we communicate this to you. We want to raise awareness and build compassion.

I'm so grateful for the partnership we share in educating your children, and I really value the trust you place in us.
