    Headteacher's Message

    Our Mission

To provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship.

    Our Vision

To be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

Welcome back! As we begin the 2025-2026 academic year, we look forward to what God has planned for BCS

Our Vision and Mission in Action

Before our students returned, our staff gathered for a time of professional development and vision and mission reminders. We centred our time on reviewing to our school's vision: It is my hope that every activity, lesson, and interaction this year will be guided by our mission. We are committed  to Growing lives that bear fruit’

Our mission is to provide a holistic Christian education for all and to inspire discipleship

Our vision is to be a Christian community in which everyone grows in character, faith, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

Our vision is based on two Bible verses:

    • ‘That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.’ (Psalm 1 v3)
    • ‘Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.’ (Luke 2 v52)

    Our Duty of Safeguarding

We believe that each of our students  is wonderfully made. The safety and well-being of our students is something we take with the utmost seriousness. All staff have completed their updated safeguarding training, and we are committed to maintaining a loving and secure environment where every child can be safe and cared for.

Please never hesitate to contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Hannah Pickles  at DSL@bxs.org.uk with any concern.

    Wisdom: Artificial Intelligence (AI)

In an ever-changing world, we want  our students to develop wisdom and discernment. We have started  exploring the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) this year, and staff are on a steep learning curve.

Our approach is to teach students to use any new tools ethically and responsibly, always remembering that true knowledge and creativity are gifts from God. Our focus remains on fostering  critical thinking, problem-solving, and deep understanding, and how to be stewards of the skills God has given us. We don’t ever want computers to replace real life relationships - it’s what we do well!

We have spent time updating our online safety and our AI policies, which we will make public very soon. We do ban the use of any free AI in school, and staff have been instructed not to access any free packages, which harvest and alter data.

    Welcoming New Staff to BCS

We welcome new members to our staff family, who join us in our mission to serve our students. Please extend a warm Bradford Christian School welcome to:

    • Mrs Robyn Travis – Year 1 and 2 Teacher, has joined us from Bahrain,
    • Mr Harrison Henson - Apprentice LSA in Acorn Class
    • Mr Stanley Coe –  Apprentice Primary and PE Teacher
    • Miss Ellie Fenwick - Supply HLTA in Oak Class

We are excited to see how God will use their gifts within our community.

It is a privilege to partner with you in the Christian education of your children. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events, at the gate, in the playground, and around the community.

Please make sure you make time to read newsletters - all the information about school is included. The parent whatsapp group is great, but newsletters are from the horse’s mouth
